Nancy O'Dell's debut job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to state authorities issuing more strict guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. The present role of O'Dell as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted Miss USA's pageant, as and the Miss Universe Pageant.
